“Listening to the Lord of the Harvest” Global Missions Conference

February 17–18, 2024 | Antonio Muñoz, Spanish Pastor of Redeemer Community Church in Katy, TX
February 23–25, 2024 | Dr. George Murray, Former Chancellor and President of Columbia International University

We have arrived at our annual Global Missions celebrations, and with great excitement we will welcome Dr. George Murray and Pastor Antonio Munoz among us. As we focus on the Lord of the Harvest, Dr. Murray will return to continue pointing our hearts towards God's desire to draw worshippers to Himself. We hope you will join us in the call to prayer of "praying to the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers". We invite you to come hear from our beloved guests currently working in the field about the importance of GOING and SENDING, and to join in the many opportunities to worship the One who brings this Good News. Our hope is that, together, we will prayerfully seek the role God has for each of us as we obey the Great Commission.

“Stand Firm” Sermon Series

January 15–February 4, 2024 | David Stevens, Paraclete Mission Group
David Stevens will preach the sermon series “Stand Firm,” based on Ephesians 6. This series will help us identify Satan's schemes against the church and individual believers as well as the abundant spiritual resources that we have in Christ, enabling us to resist our Adversary.

David and his wife Mary Alice have been long-time missionaries of First Evan, providing Bible teaching, pastoral training, and mentoring in Europe and French-speaking Africa. He has also pastored churches in Portland, Oregon and Belgium. We invited Dr. Stevens to preach this series because of his studies and teaching on the topic of spiritual warfare as reflected in his doctoral dissertation (“The Angels of the Nations”) and his published book God’s New Humanity. This series will help us to “Stand Strong,” which is one of the six challenges in which we’re asking God to help us continue to move forward.

”Journey” The Book of Numbers Sermon Series

November 14, 2021–February 7, 2022 | Rev. Jim Fleming, Interim Pastor Ministries
In our Journey with Christ, we will face lots of twists and turns, unexpected challenges, and tough choices. Where can we get some wise counsel about how to stay on track? The Apostle Paul makes a surprising recommendation. He cites a series of events, many of which are described in the book of Numbers, and then says this: Now these things happened to them as an example, and they were written for our instruction, upon whom the ends of the ages have come (1 Corinthians 10:11). In other words, careful study of events recorded in Numbers can give us tested wisdom about how to follow Jesus well until His return. So get ready to journey along-side the people of Israel to learn how they got it wrong and how we can get it right.

“Strengthening Your Core” Sermon Series

September 5–October 17, 2021 | Rev. Jim Fleming, Interim Pastor Ministries
The Apostle Paul once told his mentee, Timothy, that physical fitness has some benefits. But, spiritual fitness matters way more. Here are Paul’s exact words: “Discipline yourself for the purpose of godliness; for bodily discipline is only of little profit, but godliness is profitable for all things, since it holds promise for the present life and also for the life to come.”

In Jesus’ last 24 hours with His followers before His death, He prepared them for what was coming. He taught them how to flourish using seven key principles and associated disciplines. Want to hear what Jesus taught about how to Strengthen Your Spiritual Core?
