FEC Kids

Learn. Love. Live. Give.

We are currently in a 3-year cycle of chronological Bible teaching with the Gospel Project for Kids curriculum. Our goal for FEC Kids is to present kids the gospel all week long through a Christ-centered, comprehensive discipleship program that builds on our Sunday morning lessons throughout the week. We want kids to learn who God is. We want them to develop a genuine love for Him because of who He is and what He has done. We want to help them live for God, showing their love for Him with their whole lives. And we want to equip children and parents to “give the Word.” We believe that through these four components we will strive to accomplish our mission; "to shine the light of Jesus Christ and share His gospel with kids and families until He comes."

On Sunday mornings at 9:30 a.m., we offer FEC Kids Sunday School for Preschool–5th grade. This is where the bulk of our Bible study takes place. Nursery available for children ages 2 and under.

Sunday School, 9:30–10:30 a.m. (Nursery–5th grade)

• Nursery (0–2 years old): 1st floor Main Building

• PreK (2 years old–K): 1st floor C Building

• Elementary (K–5th grade): 2nd floor C Building

A Look at February

FEB 5 – Joash Wanted to Obey God (2 Kings 12, 2 Chronicles 24)
FEB 12 – Nahum Warned of God's Judgement (Nahum)
FEB 19 - God's People Were Taken Captive (2 Chronicles 36)
Feb 26 - Every Person Matters (Psalm 139)

Big Picture Question: What makes people special? People are special because God made us in His own image.

Memory Verse: “I praise you for I am fearfully and wonderfully made. Wonderful are your words; my soul knows it very well.” Psalm 139:14

In effort to foster family discipleship, we would love to continue to see families in church worshiping together! We believe the best place for children to be during the worship hour is with their family, learning and growing among the body of believers!

We ask parents to pick their children, 3-year-olds–5th grade, up from Sunday School (10:30 a.m.) and take them to the worship service with you! They will participate in the worship portion of the service with you. We strongly encourage you to consider keeping your children with you for the sermon, too. However, if you believe your child is not ready or able to sit with you during the sermon, we welcome all children (3-year-olds–2nd grade) to join us in the Chapel for Children's Church just before the sermon begins. Parents may pick their children up in the Chapel after the service.

During the 10:45 a.m. worship service, we offer FEC Kids Worship Hour for Preschool–2nd grade. 3rd–5th graders are invited to attend corporate worship with their family. This time is a review of the Sunday School lesson and a time of worship with an emphasis on helping kids develop a deeper love of Christ. Nursery available for children ages 2 and under.

FEC Kids Worship Hour, 10:45 a.m.–12:00 p.m. (Preschool–2nd grade)

• 2 year olds: 1st floor C Building
• 3-year-olds–2nd grade: Sanctuary and then Chapel for Children's Church (optional)

Our mission as a church calls us to share the gospel—or give the word. Our goal is to equip children and parents to "give the word.”

  • Our hope is that through hearing the gospel shared every Sunday and committing scripture and big picture Q&A’s to memory, children have the confidence to share God's word with others.

  • We also hope that parents will find our resources and seminars helpful for use in family discipleship. Just as we desire to encourage kids in confidence, we want to encourage parents in confidence, too. We are excited to rally around parents as they carry out their most important assignment - discipling their children. We aim to be their biggest cheerleaders and source of help!
