BAPTISM

“Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit.” Matthew 28:19

Do you want to get baptized to express your faith in Christ? Jesus commanded all His followers to be baptized, publicly proclaiming that God has brought them from death to life. If this describes you, we’d love to help you take the next step.

The easiest way to get started is to talk with a pastor or church leader you know, or by contacting Katelynn Bernardini in the church office. Typically, we have you meet with a pastor to hear your story, have you fill out a form with some information, and get you scheduled for one of our upcoming baptism dates (available on the form). We usually also record a brief video of your testimony in advance, which we play in the service right before you’re baptized. (Although if you’re camera-shy, don’t let something like a video hold you back from being baptized!)

Upcoming Scheduled Baptisms:

• Sunday, June 30
(Sign up by June 9)

• Sunday, August 25 (Register by August 4)

If you are interested in baptism, please apply or contact Katelynn Bernardini.

About Baptism

In the Great Commission, Jesus commanded his disciples to make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit (Matt. 28:19). Baptism is a washing with water, symbolizing the Christian’s cleansing from the stain of sin (Acts 22:16). The act of baptism does not save us, but is commanded by Christ as an outward expression of an inward reality (Eph. 2:8, Luke 23:42-43). Just as Christ was buried and raised from the dead, Christian baptism symbolizes death to sin and resurrection to a new life in Him (Rom. 6:3-4). Baptism signifies identification with Jesus Christ and his church (Eph. 4:5, 1 Cor. 12:13).
