Student Life Summer Camp
Monday–Friday, June 17–21, Orange Beach, AL.
Students will be attending a week-long conference style camp where we will be led in worship by Judd Harris and will hear from sessions speaker Matt Carter. The focus of the week will be highlighting John 8:12 where Jesus makes the bold claim that “I am the light of the world. Anyone who follows me will never walk in the darkness but will have the light of life.” Students will be shown how God is a God of revival, redeeming His people and giving them purpose. If you have any questions before you register, as always, don’t hesitate to reach out. Total cost of the retreat is $600.
Student Ministries Sunday School
Sundays, 9:30–10:30 a.m. | Impact (6th–8th grade), E226 | Common Ground (9th–12th grade), E202. To equip students to spend time in the word of God effectively. This school year we will be working through the Gospel Project curriculum in unison with FEC Kids Ministry and a few adult Sunday school classes. This will give families the ability to have conversations with the grade-school children and middle/high school students who have all engaged the same scripture and teachings for their age level each day. Pro-Life Apologetics Training with Scott Klusendorf

Scott Klusendorf of the Life Training Institute will present and facilitate an interactive training primarily for teens and families who are seeking to have a better understanding and handle on how to have graceful and truth-filled conversations about the sanctity of life. Student Ministry Fundraiser: Spaghetti Dinner Auction
Midweek Fellowship Meal, Wednesday, April 24, 5:00 p.m., Fellowship Hall
Around 55 students are attending Student Life Camp this summer in Orange Beach, AL ($600/student). To raise funds for camp, we are hosting a Spaghetti Dinner with Live Auction and Silent Auction to raise money for Student Life Camp. Be on the lookout for students selling tickets!
Meal Cost:
$8/adult
$4/child (3–10 years old)
$40 family max
We take cash, checks, or Venmo @fecmemphis.
Silent Auction, Sunday, April 10–24, Fellowship Hall
There will also be a Silent Auction leading up to the Spaghetti Dinner. This portion will begin Sunday, April 10, and remain in the Fellowship Hall until April 24 at 5:00 p.m. The silent auction will then close at the start of the Spaghetti Dinner. Students will submit items or services to be bid on (some examples from last year, include handmade jewelry, crochet projects, paintings, handmade stationery, babysitting, lawn services, etc).

Student Ministries IRL Weekend

IRL Weekend is one of our favorite weekends in Student Ministry! This weekend will be an enriching time for our students diving into 1, 2, and 3 John and being in community with one another. Our theme verse for this weekend is 1 John 1:7, which says, "But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus his Son cleanses us from all sin." On Saturday, the high school will be taking a hiking trip for the day, and the middle school will be competing in our annual Survivor Games! Register by Sunday, February 18 at www.firstevan.org/irl.

Student Ministries Midweek Corn Maze Trip

Common Ground and Impact are headed to the Corn Maze for Midweek! Meet at the church at 5:30 p.m. and we will hop in the vans and head to the corn maze at the Agricenter. Come dressed in your costume and bring $10 for your entry into the maze. We will return to the church at 8:15 p.m.
Church Picnic
Sunday, September 24, 12:00–2:00 p.m., East Lawn.
Our annual picnic will have all the staples: John Dawson’s BBQ sandwiches, hotdogs, grilled corn on the cob, inflatables, rock wall, putting golf games, and more! Dress casually for church, bring a lawn chair or blanket, and enjoy fellowship with your church family!

Common Ground Run the River
Friday–Monday, September 1–4, Mammoth Spring, Arkansas | Cost: $135.
High School students will camp out along the Spring River for a retreat weekend. During the weekend, students will enjoy time together rafting, exploring, and studying Scripture as we focus and “Listen” inspired by John 10:27 where Jesus calls His sheep to listen to His voice. With your ticket you will receive entry to the game, a hotdog, and a soft drink of your choice. You and your family have the option to either meet us at the stadium (downtown) or at the church to ride with us in a van (seating in the van is limited, first come, first serve basis). Impact St. Louis Day Trip

Join Impact as we travel to St. Louis for the day! We are headed to the City Museum and Lambert's Cafe for dinner on the way back. We will meet at the church at 6:00 a.m. and go straight to the City Museum. We will eat a sandwich lunch when we get to the City Museum. We will stay there all day, and leave around 4:00 p.m. to head to Lambert's Cafe dinner on the way back. We will be back at the church around 10:00 p.m. Register by July 10 here! Common Ground Romania Mission Trip
Friday, July 14–Sunday, July 23. We have committed to sending a team of high school students and adults to Romania to serve with Dan and Emma Onu this summer. This team will be serving in a children’s camp by sharing the gospel with those who have not yet heard the good news of Jesus. We are grateful for this opportunity and hope that through being faithful to the Lord that lives will be saved.
