Wednesday Night Furniture Building for World Relief (Men's Group)

Join us for a time of men’s fellowship and some woodworking as we build furniture for newly arriving refugees.  We are partnering with World Relief to build and deliver some basic furniture pieces (currently dining tables) for refugees coming from places like Ukraine, Cuba, and Central America.  The skill level required is minimal. Come make some saw dust and enjoy an evening where you can see the results of your labor. Feel free to bring your power drills if you have one.

Student Ministry Fundraiser: Spaghetti Dinner Auction

Midweek Fellowship Meal, Wednesday, April 24, 5:00 p.m., Fellowship Hall
Around 55 students are attending Student Life Camp this summer in Orange Beach, AL ($600/student). To raise funds for camp, we are hosting a Spaghetti Dinner with Live Auction and Silent Auction to raise money for Student Life Camp. Be on the lookout for students selling tickets!

Meal Cost:
$8/adult
$4/child (3–10 years old)
$40 family max
We take cash, checks, or Venmo @fecmemphis.

Silent Auction, Sunday, April 10–24, Fellowship Hall
There will also be a Silent Auction leading up to the Spaghetti Dinner. This portion will begin Sunday, April 10, and remain in the Fellowship Hall until April 24 at 5:00 p.m. The silent auction will then close at the start of the Spaghetti Dinner. Students will submit items or services to be bid on (some examples from last year, include handmade jewelry, crochet projects, paintings, handmade stationery, babysitting, lawn services, etc).

These letters were written by the Apostle Paul to four New Testament churches. Paul told Timothy that the Scriptures are profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness. We’ll look for those four benefits each week as we study these letters. The format includes weekly study assignments, small group discussion, and lecture.

If you have an adult child, you know that parenting doesn’t stop when a child reaches age 18. In many ways it gets more complicated. Both your heart and your head are as involved as ever, whether your child lives under your roof or barely stays in contact.  

Join us in a support group format as we study this insightful book, learn from and encourage each other. We’ll cover things like healthy and gracious boundaries, the difference between helping and enabling, supporting them when you don’t support their choices, relating to their significant other, living with a broken heart, and much more.

FEC Kids Midweek

Wednesdays, January 10–April 17, 6:15–7:30 p.m.* | No Cost
Our Midweek program will build our Sunday morning lesson and looks at what it means to live for Christ. Programming offers a variety of age-appropriate activities for children ages birth through 5th grade. Ages 0–2 will attend childcare with Mrs. Angel, who will teach through the attributes of God as seen in each week's Gospel Project lesson. Ages 3–5 will go on a learning adventure with Cubbie the puppet, who will be studying and memorizing New City Catechism. Kindergarten through 5th grade will continue Awana programming with Mrs. Kelley and her team of Awana leaders. New students welcome! Come join the fun.

Heart to Heart is a women's Bible study with small group discussion followed by large group lecture time. Everyone is welcome to continue or start the study this Spring. This semester we will move into the New Testament studying, “The Greatest Story: Read the Bible as One Story and Discover Your Place in God's Redemptive Plan” and we'll see clearly how the Old and New Testaments work together to tell the one story of the Bible and how God continues to prove His everlasting love and faithfulness to all of creation, especially through the life of Jesus Christ. Books are available the first week of January. Childcare and children’s programming available.

Dress up in your best costume (no scary costumes, please) and come enjoy a carnival with FEC Kids! We will have bounce houses, games, prizes, candy, and more! Invite your family, friends, and neighbors. Can't wait to see you there!

Entry is one bag of candy per child. Children MUST be accompanied by an adult.

Common Ground and Impact are headed to the Corn Maze for Midweek! Meet at the church at 5:30 p.m. and we will hop in the vans and head to the corn maze at the Agricenter. Come dressed in your costume and bring $10 for your entry into the maze. We will return to the church at 8:15 p.m.
