Book Discussion: A Meal With Jesus (Coed)
There is gospel opportunity in the everyday experience of eating a meal—even takeout! We will read Tim Chester’s book, A Meal with Jesus, with each chapter of the book drawing from a chapter in Luke’s gospel. Our goal will be to adopt the example Jesus modeled for us during His ministry on earth. Jesus was seriously into eating and drinking—so much so that His enemies accused him of doing it in excess. Though we will share a simple potluck meal together each week, this is not a cooking class! It’s a conversation, for both men and women, about how meals can become an opportunity for gospel conversations. Books can be purchased from Amazon here.

Bible Study: Breathe by Priscilla Shirer (Women)
In the wake of COVID-19, many of us have been forced to (or allowed to) slow down. Going forward, how can we be intentional about setting aside time to slow down as we move into our “new normal”? By neglecting time for tranquility, serenity, and repose, we limit our Christlikeness and miss some of God’s greatest gifts. In the Old Testament, Sabbath was given to the Israelites as a gift, and it is still a gift to us today. Join us for a five-week study on the concept of Sabbath and how it will change your life. Study journal can be purchased at Christianbook here.
