FEC Kids' Resources

Regathered

We are excited to resume FEC Kids for infants through 5th grade at 11:00 a.m.  To ensure the smoothest possible re-entry, we will reopen in phases, pending volunteer support:

  • October 4: Nursery (0–2 years old)

  • October 18: Preschool (3–5 years old)

  • November 1: Elementary (K–5th grade)

Registration is REQUIRED for Children's Ministry and will open each Monday and close each Thursday at noon. You will register your child each week. Due to limited COVID-19 capacity regulations, social distancing measures, and volunteer support, spots are limited. Only children that are pre-registered may attend FEC Kids on Sunday mornings. Children of all ages are of course welcome in the Worship Service. If your family does not yet have a Busy Bag, please pick one up in the Lobby along with Sermon Notes for Kids.
Please contact Cortney Cannon to volunteer with FEC Kids.

The Gospel Project for Kids

To participate in our FEC Kids livestream service CLICK HERE at 9:15 or 10:45 a.m. on Sunday mornings to be connected.

Our livestream will include activities to try at home, worship led by FEC KidsVBS throwback songs and Bible story videos by The Gospel Project for Kids.

Note: If that time does not work for your family, you can access the service at the above link any time until the next Sunday’s service is streamed.

For elementary-aged kids: We recommend that you watch the livestream service at 9:15 or 10:45 a.m. and then, at some point later in the day, gather your family to read the Bible passages (you can help your children learn to navigate their Bibles). It is also helpful to have the Activity Pages on hand for kids to complete during the 9:30 or 11:00 a.m. services.

For preschool and toddler-aged kids: We recommend that you watch the livestream service at 9:15 or 10:45 a.m. and then allow your kids to color the Activity Page during the 9:15 or 11:00 a.m. service. After the service, you can use the prompts on the right-hand side of the Activity Pages to help guide family discussion in an age appropriate way.

God's very good idea is to have lots of different people enjoying loving him and loving each other. This stunningly illustrated journey from the garden of Eden to God's heavenly throne room shows how despite our sinfulness, everyone can be a part of God's very good idea through the saving work of Christ.

This book celebrates diversity and will help children see how people from all ethnic and social backgrounds are valuable to God and how Jesus came to rescue all kinds of people. It will also excite them about being part of church - God's delightfully different family.

Arlo and the Great Big Cover-Up

Arlo and the Great Big Cover-Up By Betsy Childs Howard
With easy-to-understand language and engaging images, this book shows children ages 3–7 the freedom that comes through confessing sin rather than trying to cover it up. During naptime, Arlo colors on his bedroom wall and then tries desperately to hide his disobedience from his mother. His efforts fail, but he discovers relief that comes when he finally confesses his sin. In the end, children will learn along with Arlo that although we cannot hide sin from God, confession opens the door to mercy and reconciliation.

This Is the Gospel: A Kids Read Truth Story & Scripture Book by She Reads Truth (Author), Amanda Bible Williams (Author), Raechel Myers (Author)
This Is the Gospel presents the story of God's love for us using story text and verses from scripture. From God's good creation to Adam and Eve's sin, Jesus's life, death and resurrection, the Holy Spirit's gift of faith and Jesus's return as King over all of creation, this is a great book to introduce the gospel to kids.

Seeds Family Worship

Seeds Family Worship
Seeds combines songs that use Scripture for lyrics with strongly produced music that is varied in style to create a sound the whole family will love. Each song helps a child (and any adults in the vicinity) memorize one or more Bible verses from the NIV. The music is not only enjoyable; we have found this to be the best tool to help families memorize God’s Word.
