Abounding in Christ Together in the Second Season — “God is able to make all grace abound to you, so that having all sufficiency in all things, at all times, you may abound in every good work.” 2 Corinthians 9:8
A group for widows that meets the first Monday of each month in the Chapel for prayer & fellowship with widows, unless we have an outing. Our outreach is with our new widows in their first year of widowhood. They need not be members of our church. For more information about this ministry please contact Cathy Graham at 685-1028 or 299-1426 (cell).
Are you going through a season of grief and not sure how to handle it? You do not need to grieve alone. GriefShare will walk you through the journey of grief and provide support along the way. This 13-week series includes stand-alone videos, workbooks, small group discussion, personal study, and reflection. For more information about this ministry please contact Lorinda Hill.
This is a special ministry designed to meet the needs of our seniors desiring more fellowship. This ministry was started over 10 years ago by Beverly Frazier. He Cares meets on the last Thursday of each month except for December. “Dear Ones” usually arrive between 10:00 a.m. and stay until around 2:00 p.m. The day consists of fellowship, prayer time, arts and crafts, a special chapel service with communion, lunch, and special music. Every “Dear One” is assigned at least one caregiver that stays with them throughout the day. This is also a ministry for the caregivers of the “Dear Ones” who can have a day to run errands, shop, or just take a nap. For more information about this ministry please contact Rhonda Finfrock at 683-0757.
"Let Your steadfast love comfort me according to Your promise to your servant." (Psalm 119:76)
The goal of this ministry is to touch the lives of those of our church family who are no longer able to join us in the fellowship of worship and service. This touch will consist of brief monthly visits by teams of two providing hugs, baked goods or flowers, prayers, and a listening ear. This ministry is for those who have a heart for visiting the homebound wherever their current home may be. For more information about this ministry please contact Jim Henry at 490-5825.
This ministry involves many of our elders and other leaders in the church conducting a Bible study in a retirement home, assisted living, or nursing home. This is truly an outreach ministry as the gospel is being proclaimed in these homes throughout the Memphis area. All the residents are welcome to attend regardless of their spiritual background and those looking into Christianity are most certainly welcome. Usually each facility will have one 20–30 minute Bible study per week. For more information about this ministry please contact Larry Fitzgerald at 212-6758.
