First Evan Recreation exists to foster a supportive community through wellness, exercise, and competition while serving as an entry point to the gospel and the church. Welcome to First Evan Recreation where you will find a community of people seeking to better themselves through a variety of physical activities.

We offer a well-maintained facility that houses a beautiful wood gym floor with 6 hoops, a walking track above the gym, and a fitness room that offers treadmills, elliptical machines, weightlifting machines, stationary bikes, and free weights.

Spring Soccer 2024

6-Game Season: Saturdays, April 6–May 11 | Cost: $75 (includes uniform: jersey, shorts, and socks)

Boys and girls currently in Junior Kindergarten and Senior Kindergarten are invited to play in the ESCRA soccer league with us! Details on ESCRA League at https://www.escrasports.org/soccer.

Please Note:
• Coed JK/SK teams (Rank 1 or 2)
• A player can play on only one ESCRA team and CANNOT play in any school or other competitive league/association within the same season.
• A team playing in another league may not also play in the ESCRA Soccer League.
• Equipment required: shinguards and water bottles
• Soccer balls (size 3) will be supplied, but are optional to bring
• Junior K – 4 v 4  - with NO Goalie; two (16) minute Halves
• Senior K – 5 v 5 – with Goalie; two (16) minute Halves
• Coaches will communicate with you and set up practice times that work best for the team
• Games will be played at East Memphis and Midtown churches

Monday, Wednesday, and Friday:
8:00–11:30 a.m., Gym
Tuesday: 8:00–11:30 a.m.; 1:30–4:30 p.m., Gym
Thursday: 8:00–11:30 a.m.; 2:30–4:30 p.m., Gym

All are welcome! We have three pickleball counts available for use.

Whether it's one or a dozen of you, this is a great way to fellowship with health benefits in a safe and weather-free environment.  If you plan to come, please see Sherri Bonar at the recreation desk to sign a waiver (first time only) and to get an access code to the second-level entrance to the track.
