Senior Adults

The Ministry to Senior Adults

This ministry to and by our older brothers and sisters in Christ functions on several levels. We have regular opportunities for ministry, outreach, fellowship and service, as well as specially planned activities, including trips, monthly luncheons, and Sunday School classes. We also have need-based ministries to our widows, homebound, bereaved, and those in life's transitions. This ministry is led by a leadership team of 12-16 peers including two Elders, and the Pastor to Senior Adults and Pastoral Care. Our seniors pray, minister to others, and are active, growing and serving in many ways in the First Evan family.

Our Mission

In order to minister to Senior Adults, we will

• Encourage Seniors to come to a saving knowledge of Jesus Christ.
• Enable Seniors to enjoy a full and growing relationship with Jesus Christ and other believers.
• Engage Seniors in ministries of the church, in missions, to missionaries, and to one another.
• Enrich the fellowship of Seniors through enjoyable activities in a Christ-centered atmosphere.

I Corinthians 15:58 "Therefore, my beloved brethren, be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that your toil is not in vain in the Lord."
