Report of the Mission Board
May 20, 2012
Financial Report
(July 2011 – April 2012)
Our
budget for the current year (July ’11-June ’12) is $ 357,242. We have received to date (4/30/12) $293,388
which would put us approximately 4.42% behind budget if giving trends continue
for the remainder of the fiscal year.
From those missions funds we have given $70,450 to support nationals in
Romania, Moldova, Ukraine, Poland, Czech Republic, Mexico, Colombia, Turkey and
India. In addition, $204,294 has been
used to fund missionaries’ support and ministry/care projects. Missions
pass-through funds given through First Evan directly to First Evan missionaries
by individual supporters in our congregation have totaled over $900,000.
Global Missions
Our
missionary family of 41 includes 21 foreign missionaries (living and serving
abroad), 10 USA (living and serving in the US) and 10 non-resident foreign
missionaries (living in the US but ministering abroad). Some of our missionaries that have been added
to the First Evan missionary family recently include:
-
David and Jessica Finfrock - Middle East
- Caleb Hendricks - Peru
- Brittain Ball - Nepal
Memphis
Ministries
The
Memphis Ministries program continues to grow with 19 Partner Ministries. Meet Memphis in April had over 200
church members participating in 10 work projects. The Matching Gift program in
October gave $25,000 to 17 ministries and represented over 1700 hours of
volunteer hours by the people in our congregation.
Mission Trips
This
year First Evan has sponsored 9 short-term mission trips that included over 60
participants traveling to countries all over the globe (Haiti, Ukraine,
Romania/Moldova, Central Asia, Sudan and India). Many of our members were able to minister
through everything from camps and building projects to teaching and equipping
nationals.
Thank
you for your faithful support of missions.
First Evan continues to play a key role as “sender” laboring together
with our missionaries.
Respectfully
submitted,
Bobby
