Jeff Findlay

I have been a pastor here at First Evan since October 2000. I am from Oregon and grew up in Portland and spent much of my growing up years going to the beach. I went to the University of Oregon, graduated in music, taught music for awhile, then went to Cal-State Long Beach for an MA in choral conducting. A highlight for me was singing with the Norman Luboff Choir while traveling the US. I was in the music ministry for many years and thought that was all the Lord wanted me to do. Then in the spring of 2000 two men 1000 miles apart gave my name to First Evan and - Wham! my life changed. I became a pastor, went to Columbia International University to earn an M.Div. and have been serving the Lord here at First Evan. I have a beautiful wife Genalee who is truly my partner in ministry and three lovely daughters, Kaylee, Kelsey who are twins and Kelli. I love sports, I love tennis, I love to ride my bike, I love to read, I love to spend time with my family, and I do not eat turnip greens!
