Equipping Institute
The apostle Paul reminds the Christians in Ephesus that God has gifted the church with leaders "to equip the saints for the work of ministry" (Eph. 4:12). This is what the Equipping Institute is designed to do. It is a place for the committed follower of Christ to develop the ministry knowledge, skills, and relationships necessary to confidently minister to others, both within the church and out in the world. Ideally, after spending a season in the Equipping Institute, participants will engage in their family, church, community, and world better equipped to do the work of ministry.
Whether a person is pursuing the 2-year completion certificate or simply taking one of the classes that looked interesting to them, the goal is the same: to be better equipped with the knowledge and skills needed for effective ministry and to be actively cultivating strategic, ministry-minded relationships. Simply filling someone's head with more knowledge or their shelf with more notebooks is NOT what the Equipping Institute is about. Even the occasional course that is more foundational in nature has as its goal to build a base on which solid ministry skills can be constructed.
All classes are $20.00 and run for six weeks. For the $20.00 you receive course instruction, notes, other handouts and at least one book that serve as the central textbook for the course.
