Everyone has seasons when life is hard and they wish someone would walk alongside them to listen, encourage and guide. Perhaps you are in such a season or you know someone who is. Perhaps someone has come to you for help and you are overwhelmed with their needs. The Biblical Guidance Ministry wants to help.
God has been working in our midst to equip some of our own men and women to help people live godly lives in the midst of life issues. This equipping has been through lay counselor training, Crown Financial studies, education, life experiences or other venues. Biblical Guidance is available from specially trained lay counselors, pastors and professional counselors; all of whom are a part of the First Evan family.
Scripture tells us in II Peter 1:3 "His divine power has given us everything we need for life and godliness through our knowledge of Him who called us by His own glory and goodness." (NIV)
The Biblical Guidance Ministry (an expansion of Taylor Park's counseling ministry) is designed to come alongside people one-on-one and guide them using Biblical principles, specifically addressing the life issues they are facing. These life issues may be relational, emotional, financial, educational, vocational, or spiritual or a combination of these. This ministry will seek to find the best person to help based on the life issues involved.
Our professional counselors are Dr. Tim Holler and Mrs. Casey Rowland, M.A. Tim and Casey are already seeing clients. We are blessed to have them as a part of this ministry. Biblical Guidance is available to everyone who requests it whether they are a First Evaner or a community member.
Since our professional counselors are not church staff members, their
services are fee based on a sliding scale, but no one who is part of
the body of First Evan will ever be turned away due to the inability to
pay.
